Ashbury Furniture is a leading furniture showroom in Kent.

Their eCommerce website once worked really well but with the rise of the online competition their sales dwindled and were held back by a dated eCommerce platform.

We worked with Ashbury to develop a new website to coincide with their relaunch. The flexible ExpressionEngine and Exp:resso Store were chosen as the platform.

The new website puts the customer first. They can easily browse by department, brand, range or clearance - with advanced filtering options seen on larger sites such as Amazon.

We worked with Ashbury on an Information Architecture, tweaking the conventions of department names. Instead of "Living", we call it "Sofas & Chairs" - instead of "Entertainment" we call it "TV Stands". Visits to niche departments have increased dramatically after launch.

Within the first fortnight of the website relaunch engagement from customers increased by 20% and they took back leadership on a prominent search result on Google.
